Curatorial statement
We are pleased to announce that application submissions are now open for our first solo exhibition of 2023
‘S O L O’
The interpretation of the word SOLO within this exhibition strives to explore beyond these limits through our artist’s extensive breadth of work. Each selected artwork will delve deeper into what it means to be solo whilst providing a platform for a local or international artist, emerging or established, whose execution of creativity is translated in its most diverse and unique form.
Terms and Conditions
ELIGIBILITY
This call is open to all local and international visual artists across various mediums including painting, sketch, sculpture, collage, textiles, photography and film. Although the medium of creation may be varied, all submitted works must address the theme in a considerable way.
MEDIA
Open to any and all traditional and contemporary visual arts 2D and 3D media applicable to the theme.
SUBMITTING WORK
PARTICIPATION FEE
Upon selection, the successful artist will exhibit in our London based gallery space for a fortnight [14 days]. Although there isn’t an application fee, exhibition fees are applicable. For more information, email oreofeartgallery@gmail.com.
What will the exhibition fee cover?
Our participation fee is not simply for exposure, but to cover the extensive essential services we provide our solo artist. The fees include all marketing and promotion, work throughout the exhibition and for six months thereafter. The solo artist’s works will also appear in the exhibition catalogue as well receiving a certificate of participation. Full details of all marketing and promotion services available on request.
HOW MANY TIMES CAN I SUBMIT?
Due to the high interest in our solo exhibition opportunities, artists are only allowed to submit an application ONCE.
JURY AND CURATOR
This exhibit will be selected by the gallery’s head curator, Banke Jemiyo and anonymous experts whom will make the final selections.
SUBMISSION OF IMAGES
Artists are invited to submit 5-15 artworks to oreofeartgallery@gmail.com
We only accept HIGH QUALITY digital images/files for consideration. Images must be in JPEG format and must include the following; the artist’s name and artwork title. For each artwork image being submitted, the following details about each artwork must be included; Title, Year of Creation, Size and Medium. If the artworks involved are in video format, please send one or more HIGH QUALITY clips of the original works for consideration.

In submitting the entry form below indicates that you agree with the conditions of entry and that you agree to make your work available should it be selected for exhibit.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
All applications must be submitted by

EXHIBITION DATES
SATURDAY 6TH - 20TH MAY 2023
The exhibition will open on Saturday 6TH May 2023 with a private viewing from 3-6pm at our gallery space. The exhibition will then run until Saturday 20TH May 2023.
